Rear Wiper Removal on 2003

I need to remove the rear wiper motor to have it either repaired or replaced. I have the wiper arm off and this is what I see next. I assume I need to get that black clip off next. How do I remove that? Then any suggestions on removing that rusted nut are welcome.

That appears to be made of plastic. And more of a spacer than anything else. I would go with a dental pick and see if it will slide off. If it doesn't want to move then I'd try loosening the nut up. That should bring the clip with it.
The wiper shaft rotates inside the plastic and the nut is larger than the shaft and is to hold the assembly to the glass. Should be a pretty straight forward disassembly.

I was able to get that flanged ring off with a pick. The nut still seems to be rusted tight.

Fortunately, a few light taps with a hammer freed the wiper shaft and it is working now. If I do have to remove it in the future, some penetrating oil after removing that flanged cap should help. I’m afraid trying an impact wrench on that nut would result in the need for a replacement rear window in addition to the motor.
