Relocating Brake Lines with Upper Rear Control Arms

Installing rear upper's and while I was taking the OEM control arm out, I noticed that the brake line and parking brake line are attached to a bracket which is screwed into the OEM control arm. For those of you who have aftermarket control arms, did you just leave them hanging and unscrewed? I am thinking about ziptying them to the new control arms and seeing if it is tight or not.

I used 2 cable ties for each attachment. The first around the control arm. The second under the cable tie around the control arm and then around the brake line. The lines are guarded so that the cable tie doesn't make direct contact. I wrapped the control arm with 3 layers of black vinyl (electricians) tape so the cable tie would have something to bite into. Mine have been like this for 2 years with no problems. For the emergency brake line, I cut the studs off the original supports and reused the guard part.
