I'm "done" with VW - just like my dad was. We both owned green VWs, his was a '77 Rabbit, mine was a '96 Passat TDI. By the time those cars got through with us, we were broken men!

Like I said, read the entire post, I am not deleting my catalytic converters attached to 02 sensors in any way. I am thinking about removing the "THIRD" catalytic converter which is not attached to any 02 sensor. Therefore, my vehicle would still pass NEVADA STATE, emissions. No we do not have visual inspections like CALFIRONIA. Our process is done with OBD II plug in. Thanks for all the feedback.
I am old enough to remember the days of no catalytic converters and my clothes stinking like exhaust after a drive in heavy traffic. I remember going with my dad through the Lincoln or Holland tunnel into New York City many many years ago. The overpowering exhaust smell was horrible. I don’t miss it at all.
Ever hear the sound of a VW VR6 engine with an intake? That was a good sounding engine to say the least, albeit an awful, problematic, and unreliable design.
