My Jeep came with one of these cold air intake systems (2005 LJ). I believe the stock airbox was eliminated for space reasons because it has a Highline modification.
As you can see, the connection between the intake tube and the crankcase vent tube has been repaired with silicone of some type, and it has come loose and is just sitting in there.
I know that these cold air intake systems aren't the best, but what are my options here? Is there a reliable way to repair this connection? What's the right way to fix the situation?
