Replacing front shocks

Just try. You can’t screw up, much. As long as it’s not rusted solid basic hand tools get the job done. Worst case a sawzall will do the removing part. Spray down the fasteners a few times with your favorite blaster solution to loosen rust for a day or two.

Jump in the deep end and learn to swim! Next thing you know, you’ll be pulling the motor for a rebuild.

The tricky part will be getting the top nut off, especially in your area. You'll need either an electric or air impact gun to make it easier.

Give it a try, it's not so bad. Watch a couple videos. Here is one on removing that top nut.

It will either be a royal PIA or it’ll go smoothly. If you have rust beware that top nut can be brutal!
