Replacing front shocks

Just try. You can’t screw up, much. As long as it’s not rusted solid basic hand tools get the job done. Worst case a sawzall will do the removing part. Spray down the fasteners a few times with your favorite blaster solution to loosen rust for a day or two.

Jump in the deep end and learn to swim! Next thing you know, you’ll be pulling the motor for a rebuild.
 
The tricky part will be getting the top nut off, especially in your area. You'll need either an electric or air impact gun to make it easier.
 
You can do it...luckily i had some helpers.
