Replacing the Soft Top

This is true! But, I try to keep it under control.

I heard some good advice that Mark Cuban gave, and it went like this:

"If you can't afford to pay for it outright in cash, you shouldn't own it."

The exception of course (and even he said this) was home ownership.

But I agree with that for sure. I never buy anything that I couldn't afford to pay for in cash. It limits what I can own, but it makes life a lot better, because then I don't have debt or stupid expensive car payments.

Well, the Bestop replacement top came and I am nervous about installing it myself. What if I rip it? What if it's too cold to stretch now? I made a few phone calls around the Denver area and people wanna charge like $200 to install this. Am I overly concerned about doing this? How difficult is it?

You're overly concerned, I promise. I've never installed a convertible top before in my life, and when I got my new Bestop it wasn't hard at all to install. I just followed the instructions and did it on a warm day.

It will be insanely tight on the first fit so make sure it's really warm out. It helps to have a buddy too, because I can't even begin to stress how tight it will be.

Take your time, do not force it or use the zippers to pull it together. Let it sit in the sun for a couple hrs. If you can't, I would imagine warming it up with some indirect heat will work too.

Black diamond - it's a little floppy though, so am wondering if I did it right. Bestop Customer Support wants more pics...lol

Looking at your last picture, is that seam suppose to be at the top of the windshield? I don't have a Bestop, but that seam on mine is closer to the windshield frame.
