Rolled over

Rolled it over. Kinda slid into a ditch, then tipped onto drivers side.

Fender dented (I have a new one anyway, it was rusty) and the hood will need a few taps with a rubber hammer, otherwise no obvious damage.

As best I remember...before firing it back up, I need to check all the fluids, pull the plugs crank it a little and replace plugs.

Right?

What am I forgetting?

It should be good to go after just flopping over onto its side. That commonly happens on the trail.

Yep. Happened quick (doesn't it always?) but I don't remember it being a hard impact and the damage is pretty light, so I don't expect much more than the obvious.

I just checked everything for leaks, doesn't look like anything drained. What few drips I could find were stinkin' *** diff fluid.

I did crank it and it fired and ran for about 5 seconds before I remebered about the plugs and shut it off.

Think it's cool?

Here's one of my previous TJ resting on its side. Miraculously, it was able to be driven out of that situation due to how many big boulders & rocks there were for my tires to grab onto and help right the TJ. A winch rope was offered but it was declined to see if it couldn't be righted on its own.

That particular trail, the Gatekeeper in Doran Canyon near Calico Ghost Town California is now too difficult for anyone but the crazies with extremely well-built high-end rigs.

I wish I could blame it on being adventurous and that happening on a trail. I also wish i could blame it on Jackass trying to murder me again.
Truth is I was tooling along with my head up my rump. Came up over a hill and there's a car stopped in the lane turning left that I didn't see quick enough, locked the brakes, slid off the road and slooooooowly leaned over and tipped. Hard to see from that angle but the grade there is really steep.

Duh.

Coulda been MUCH worse...wife and kids with me. Messy underwear everywhere but nobody got hurt. Not a scratch except one bump on the noggin.

I can also report that all the stories about how wranglers aren't very nimble are true.

Coming over a hill and through a curve. I think I must've been looking in the rear view mirror...looked up and there was the other car.
Had it not been a narrow country road with a big ditch along the side, we would have just rode off.

So can you guys think of anything else I should check before firing it up again? Suspension all looks good. Hell, the mirror didn't even break.

I flipped mine on the trail and after we got it righted it smoked for a bit and I was able to drive it home.
