Well, well...
After much AGRRIVATION , I managed to remove the offending bolts securing the oil pan to the block. This was achieved by way of using a BFH and an 8m extraction socket on what should have been an 11mm bolt head
:: Once the pan was down ::
- Cleaned up the block pan seam (old Rtv)
- Cleaned the crud from the exposed parts
- Installed a new FelPro gasket (love the alignment pins they include)
- Installed *new* oil pan
- Used mostly new bolts
- Reattached the exhaust to the manifold
- Reattached the exhaust hangers including the tranny mount
- Checked / Connectedthe exhaust sensors
- Installed new oil filter
- Filled her up with 5 litres of fresh juice
- While under the Sahara, reassembled the transfer case shifter linkage
- Reinstalled the shifter...
- Found a spot to secure the transmission / T-Case breather tube
:: To Do ::
- Reinstall step boards
- Reattach transmission skid plate
- Drop her back down to earth
:: Near Future To Do:
- Replace dead wiper motor
- Reassemble the interior
At least that the list *until* I test drive it after the clutch replacement
