Seat noise

Does anybody have long term experience with the StableSeat bushings?

If anyone has the ability to turn a batch out of Delrin I would be interested.

Alright was able to fix this today, you’ll need the shoulder washer with the specifics listed in the pic below. Was able to find them in Black so I didn’t bother shaving it down to the width of the torx bolt. The inside diameter is a bit too small so you’ll need a 27/64 drill bit to get it to the right size. It’s actually 10mm ID, but I couldn’t find a drill bit in that size. Worked great, it’s a perfect fit.

No more noise!

Where did you buy the black ones? Online? If so, could you provide a part number. Dont have an Ace in my town. Thanks E

I found them at a local hardware store. If you can locate something with these dimensions you should be good:

@jchadscud I'm in the Dallas area as well, what hardware store did you find them at? Also, what about the bushing for the top part? Your original video showed both upper/lower missing, but is it not needed with this on the bottom now? Thanks.
 
Fyi I ordered the kit parts and the guy was super nice. I installed them a few months ago and with heavy use over the winter, I have seen no wear on the new bushings and the seats are rock solid.
 
Yes, I was sceptical because of folks on here saying its 3d printed and won't hold up but when faced with the task of running down and modifying a bunch of different parts from stores I don't have in my town. I gave them a shot since they were made to the exact spec of my seats and they are such low cost. I figured if they dont last I'll try the other way in the future. They have been great and I think they dont actually have alot of weight and friction on them like we think. And if you think about it the only reason most of us are looking is because our other one got sun baked, dried out and broke off. Not wore down. That being said I might say they suck next year if they end up sucking but as of right now my seats are quiet, firm and they have held up great for my 220lbs self so far.

I found them locally at Elliott's Hardware. The seat track rides on lower bushing. The only time I could see the top bushing being utilized is if the seat is heavily compressed and then it looks like the upper and lower make contact for additional support.

I know this is an old post, but for anyone looking. I had a first set of stable seats. They lasted about a 7-9 months before they broke in tiny pieces. The seller did send me a replacement that i had for about the same time and today the bushing that goes in the hex bolt broke. So they last between 6month to a year. Im gonna try the nylon flanges now
