I'm a kiter and surfer and use my TJ exclusively to go to the beach - taking an off road route to remote spots of course - My old fabric seats have had their day. I've used neoprene covers to extend their life but they are now done. The world of replacement sets is a vast one and I'm struggling to decide what replacement seats will work best for what I need - basically a seat that will put up with wet and salty board shorts and sand. The seats also need to be suitable for daily use as I have the school run to consider as kids need to get in and out of the back. The obvious choice would be a vinyl seat (I'm not convinced by the robustness of neoprene) but I'm disappointed in the mono-color choices that appear to be the only ones available.So does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable seat or a link to source of seats that have more to offer than just plain black, charcoal or tan colored covers?

I'm kind of in the same boat. Jeep spends its summer at the beach, doors off/top down for 4 months and its basically a motorized sand cart. Between kiting gear, surfboards etc...

We are in the middle of the Caribbean Sea surrounded by a reef - there are channels through the reef where the waves can ramp up to double overhead - not great for surfing without a kite, but with a kite...ah...and I'm foiling now which brings about a whole new dimension - I don't think I've smiled as much and our season is just beginning..
Neoprene seemed to be the solution to me as well, so invested in some good quality covers. They's lasted 12 months. Not such a great investment. Pulling kit in and out of the car is hard on the seat covers. So need something robust.

I havn't foiled as of yet, but my friends do. Funny, 'the smile' is always mentioned with foiling lol.
I dont know, I see foiling as a light wind endeavor....(even though I saw guys in Maui foiling on diapers in 35 knots) if its not blowing 12m or less, I'm usually offshore chasing tuna and bills. But I'm sure I'll get sucked in at some point.
