I remember when @ JamisonC had one. Those were the good times.^^^^ The green Sahara may be the best color combo there is on a TJ. So good looking.
Wildman, do you have a picture of rack setup on back of your Jeep?
Olympic 4x4 Products Sierra or Sierra II rack. I made some mods to it by drilling out the bar and instead of the pin I put in a bolt so I could clamp it down. It rattled way too much. But it's a good way to carry stuff you don't want inside your rig. I did dent it a little when I backed into a rock or tree once because I forgot about it.Wildman, do you have a picture of rack setup on back of your Jeep?
Is it fixed to original tire carrier? your links are corrupted for me so cant see.Olympic 4x4 Products Sierra or Sierra II rack. Yeah that wouldn't work for me my plate is on the tire thanks for sharingYes you take the spare off and mount the bracket which has a square tube sticking off it and then slide the basket onto the square tube.
Yes something has happened to their website. I don't know if this means they are going out of business or what?

So it fits same as a spare wheel bike carrier, does it put too much downward pressure on the wheel carrier?Yes you take the spare off and mount the bracket which has a square tube sticking off it and then slide the basket onto the square tube.

I do like that though, this is what I use but it's a pain in the ass if you have to get in back and it's to low. Yes I know my top is on but its still cold up here.Yeah that wouldn't work for me my plate is on the tire thanks for sharing
I have a smaller hitch rack but now I have an idea to convert it to fit my spare wheel bike rack carrier, they have the same fitting to the tire carrier, I just need to take off the 2inch square hitch tube and bolt on a smaller one that fits over the smaller bike carrier bracket squaring.I do like that though, this is what I use but it's a pain in the ass if you have to get in back and it's to low. Silly question but what do you do for a spare put it in the back?I can't say since I had a swing out tire carrier. I haven't had my spare mounted on the tailgate since 2003. And I haven't carried a spare since 2008 when I went to the dual beadlocks. My tire and rim combo weighed in at 138lbs and I didn't want that hanging off the back. And since it was easy enough to break a tire down and patch it...
No didn't carry a spare. Had patch and plug kits & a inner tube as a last resort. I could breakdown a beadlock pretty fast if needed and patch just about any hole.Silly question but what do you do for a spare put it in the back?
I like the thought of not having all that weight back there. Maybe its time to downsize.I can't say since I had a swing out tire carrier. I haven't had my spare mounted on the tailgate since 2003.
