First off thanks for everybody's help with reading the gear pattern of my front axle.

Now I have the rear 44 with stock Rubicon locker regeared and a couple of pics of the gear pattern for your opinion. Backlash is .006
I think i looks good but a set of more experienced eyes would be reassuring.

I would say it is a touch deep and I would open the backlash at least to .008. I try not to have that sharp line near the root if at all possible.

This is .008 BL, new inner pinion race installed, pinion preload set to 19-20 inch/lbs. basically ready for oil if the pattern looks ok

Sorry I haven't been on in a couple of days. It looks deep still. Make a big change, say 10 thou to see where you are. Bracketing like this will help you get dialed into the proper range.

Heres the latest, removed .010 from the pinion, ran a pattern but it look too close to the top, added .005 back and here is the results
Backlash is .006 but last time when I swapped the set up pinion race for the new one it increased .002

You're there! Run it.

Your drive side looks like a TINY bit deep but I don't know that you'll get much better than what you have.
