05 TJ Sport. U-joint failed on the rear drive shaft. I just need to get it back on the road for now. I have the shaft, but lost the slip yolk and any other parts not pictured. Autozone has a slip yolk and 1310 u-joints needed, but I want to make sure it will work and no other parts are needed. Also, is there a dust cover that goes over the splines? I attached pics of what is left and the yoke from autozone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The yoke you're missing looks like the one on the top of this picture. It slides over the on to the splines and there's a dust boot that covers both the spline and the yoke.

Installing a new slip yoke May lead to new drive shaft vibration issues. The drive shaft assembly needs to balanced together. Also your remaining DS likely has yoke damage. I would suggest a complete new DS. And check the yoke on the differential closely for damage.

The shaft is good... checked it already. The yoke on the very back is much different in that it has a hole for a bolt in it. See attached puc

Your drive shaft is clearly damaged and the yoke you posted from Auto zone is clearly the pinion yoke, just like the one in your picture in post #5, not the drive shaft slip yoke. That much I do know. Keep us posted on your end result, and good luck to you. I'm done with this thread now.

You need to get a new driveshaft. The part you put a picture of in your first post goes on the pinion not the driveshaft. If you replace that you also need to replace the nut and you need an inch pound torque wrench to make sure you don't overtorque it. If it gets overtorqued you will need to replace the crush washer beneath the front pinion bearing and that is going to turn into a big job.
The missing part of your driveshaft is the slip yoke not the pinion yoke and it needs to be balanced on the driveshaft. You could try finding a new one and taking the rebuilt assembly to a driveshaft shop to see if they will balance it for you but you should really just replace the whole thing since it has been beat to shit after coming apart like that. $219 will get you a brand new one from tom woods: http://www.4xshaft.com/

To temporarily get it back on the road, remove the driveshaft from both ends and simply drive in 4HI. It won't hurt anything as long as your front driveshaft is in good condition
Got the parts recommended by XXDBROXX. Does it matter which side of the shaft is in the front before I attach the slip yoke to the shaft? There are two balance tabs, one on each end. A big one and a small one.
