Smittybilt soft top fitment question

Just installed the Quadratec top with a Smittybilt (from Quadratec). Install went without issue but I'm not satisfied with the slack in the part of the top over the front seats. It's looser than it should be. The sewn seam across the front of the windshield isn't right on the leading edge either. It's about 1/2" back all the way across. Used the predrilled holes to install and that's where it ended up.

Suggestions?

I had similar issues with my q top and I had to roll the front over and double it at the attachment point

I bought my Jeep used and came with a smittybuilt top. It has all kinds of slack and the seam is jacked up. Get a real top and chunk that smittybuilt. I will never buy smittybuilt based on my situation. It looks like crap and I took my top off the frame re-adjusted it my way. It's the way it was made-WRONG!

Still don't get what the Smittybilt part is. On the leading edge at the header, I installed a Bestop top once that the seam was the same way, too far back from the edge. I looked again at the instructions, and the fabric needed to be folded one more time before putting in the screws. Hard to explain, but take the fabric back off the header and try one more fold and see if that does the trick.

That’s what i has to do too. When i did that it tightened it up a lot
