My wife and her friends sent me videos of smudge pots burning oil at a local rodeo, and before I knew it, we ended up with two of them in our backyard. Just got the second one last week. I have to say, they're quite impressive! I've been using diesel so far, and I'm thinking of disposing of some old oil in the new one this week. I'll take some pictures.
There are a few companies selling new smudge pots, and we got ours from El Hefe Smudge Pot. In the box, they included a coupon code which we used for the second purchase. I don't believe there's a limit on how many times you can use it, and it saved us some money on top of the sale price. The coupon code was ELHEFE10. I considered some custom "weld yourself smudge pot plans" online, but it seemed like too much work
