Soft top help

So I’ve got a couple of questions for my hard to soft top transformation. First off I am wondering what the pieces that seem to bolt or rivet just to the sides of the tailgate that secure the bottom of the rear window are and if anyone knows where to find them. Also my frame and smittybilt top combo is kinda garbage and it sounds like I’m driving a trash bag so let me know your opinion if I should sell it, cut my losses and just go to a good quality frameless top. Thanks.

I think you need to spend a little more time on Quadratec. Read reviews on tops, look at the parts lists and make a choice based on your needs and as much information as you can find.

Pictures would help a lot.

However, I'd ditch that Smittybilt piece of crap and replace it with a Bestop, the factory top that look and fits like factory.

I have a bestop ...it's is quieter than the last hardtop I drove .

The “pieces” your talking about should be included with soft top. At least for my bestop trektop it did.

Different soft tops have a different style of clips/retainers.

I bought a smittybilt had it for a week or two then sold it.
