Spare Tire Cover

Hi from the UK

I’ve got a 1998 TJ Sahara that has a 225 x 75 x 15 Goodyear Wrangler GSA fitted to what I’m assuming is the standard tyre carrier.

I’m looking to purchase a custom tyre cover from the USA but am wondering if this is going to fit, as at the moment when you look at the wheel side on the tyre is tight up against the high level brake light and the frame of the tyre carrier.

Should it have an upgraded aftermarket tyre carrier to suit this size of tyre or do these covers just fit over the tyre and not need to completely wrap it if that makes sense?

Mine fits tight but since the 3rd Brake light is made of plastic it can be bent back to allow the tire cover to slip down into the correct position.
