Oh yes, the schools will definitely try to move to better securing talent. How this Washington situation plays out will be interesting. I'm sure plenty will come up with their own incentives to keep players, but it will be tough as there will be situations like where kids will want to follow coaches or change oppurtunities if they aren't getting playing time. Will be interesting to see how it continues to play out.
This is pretty huge. IIRC they have never fired both their GM and HC in the same season.
I don't watch much of the dolphins but I thought he was well liked there. I suppose it doesn't matter though, winning is what helps one stick around.
Seems like a lot more teams are more focused on winning now vs keeping good coaches around. The cowboys aren't a great example but they let McCarthy go after 3-12 win seasons. John Harbaugh getting the boot was is wild seeing as 6 of their last 8 seasons have been 10 wins or more with the other two being 8 win seasons. Owners want super bowl victories and I guess coach turnover is going to be the new norm. I imagine the steelers and Tomlin will finally split ways if they don't make it past the first round.

Having a single player be the logo is a bit weird. But if that's what they want, they should really change it often. I dont follow basketball that much so I had no who jerry west was before this post. If they were to change it I would think LeBron makes the most sense since hes currently the most relevant.
Lebron is old and needs to retire. I'm a Michael Jordan fan. He got the job done when things got tough. Lebron seems to get injured the things get tough.
Afaict that's just a click bait claim on social media trying to get attention.

Thought I'd chime in and say that the the Super Bowl half time show was garbage. My wife reminded me that I'm at a age where I probably won't like any performer that they choose. Is it wrong to at least hope they're singing in English?
Facebook report, so don't know if it's true: I read that some of the lyrics to one of the songs were referring to a girl that showed up and wasn't wearing panties. Some other stuff about a 'sexual act' he wanted her to do.
Seems like a new low. If they're going to have a Spanish performance, maybe include translation subtitles? I'd still be equally annoyed when I walk away to get food.
I did enjoy the songs Green Day performed before the game. They would've been a much better act.
The game itself was pretty boring since the Patriots didn't score until the 4th quarter. They had a glimmer of hope to come back until they threw an interception. Again proving that the division Championship games are usually the last 'good' games.

The halftime show isn't really for people who watch sports. Its to get the people who don't watch sports to tune into the game. Hell, I'm sure the majority of the people at the game didn't get to see most of the performance with the on field setup they had.
As for lyrics, I'm sure every halftime show performer of the past decade has sung about something innappropriate. Kendrick Lamar was out there last year singing about Drake being a pedophile. The show was decent. I don't speak spanish but the songs were catchy.
But in terms of sports, yeah pretty boring. A defensive masterclass in the first half even though it looked like the seahawks were trying to give the game away. Always felt like the Patriots were about to make a big play on defense and they just didn't.

I didn't watch any of the Superbowl or the halftime show.
I did watch the TPUSA one which I thought sucked for a halftime show. It was an OK concert.
