A squealing that only occurs when you are stepping down on the clutch is nearly guaranteed to be a bad throwout bearing. That means pulling the transmission to replace it so you might as well replaced the clutch and pressure plate while you're in there. Luk, who is the OEM for the factory clutch, has a kit that contains the throwout bearing, clutch disk, pressure plate, and pilot shaft which is used to align everything while installing the clutch.
Do not have the flywheel resurfaced as part of that job. If it has any glazing on it just use a mild grade of sandpaper or emery cloth to remove it.
