Starting/clutch issue

So, a while back I changed out my clutch and also my clutch master and slave. Since then the jeep will not start with the clutch depressed.
I have to push the clutch in, let it out. Make sure I'm in neutral and have the brake pedal depressed in order to start it.
It won't even attempt to start with the clutch in.
Any ideas of what could cause it?

There is a switch that is attached to the rod that goes between the clutch pedal and the clutch master cylinder that is a clutch safety switch. There is a harness connector attached to the switch which may be disconnected. There is a fuse labelled Clutch Override in the panel behind the glove compartment that allows the clutch safety switch to be bypassed which may be why you can start the Jeep in neutral.

When I replaced the clutch master and slave I had to add a couple of rubber washers on the rod Chatles referred to for it to contact the switch.
