State of Cats 2023: Evan Fischer?

I need to replace my muffler and exhaust pipe that have rusted out. The piping and cats back to the muffler are showing some surface rust as well and at 20 years old maybe on limited time so I am looking at replacing the entire system. Jeep is a 2004 with the 4.0, not in a CARB state.

It looks like the crazy inflation is still hanging around with the Flowmaster and Magnaflow cats running $1,000-1,500. I have found the Evan Fischer cats for $350.

For those that have the Evan Fischer cats how are they holding up? I found a few post from 2020-2021 with people installing the EF cats. Are you seeing any corrosion on the piping?

Are the EF cats worth installing or do I need to suck it up and get the MF?

Not EF, but I installed this Pacesetter setup in 2017 and still working well.

I’ve actually put this project on the side burner for now. It was a proactive replacement so I was spending money elsewhere
