Steering stabilizer install help

I can't for the life of me get the end located nearest to the passenger wheel seated in the bracket (if looking from the front, the left side). The rubber bushings in the eye are keeping me from being able to insert it in the bracket. All the videos I've watched show that piece sliding in with little-to-no resistance. Mine is being a pain. Any recommendations?

Probably bent in a bit. Grab some vice grips and just pull the bracket apart a little until you can get it.
