I’m trying to change out my front shocks and the flats on the stem are rounded. I’ve read about using 2 nuts against each other to stop the spinning, does anyone know the size of the nut? I’m headed to the store to pluck up a couple other things and was hoping to grab one.

I tried threading a M8-1.25 nut on, but it bound up. Not sure if it was corrosion or just the wrong thread. Might be M8, but it also could be 7/16. M10, 3/8, and 1/2 (all coarse) didn't work

Pick up some M8s and 7/16 coarse threads and one of them *should* work.

Anyone have a better idea?

Sawzall with a new metal blade took care of the problem this morning. I gave up the hunt for a second nut
