Strange electrical issue. Ignition switch?

For the last month my 05 has been doing something strange. After it has sat for a few days when I try to start it I hear a click and the gauges go dead. On the second key cycle it starts. It has done this a few times now. It always starts right up the rest of the day after the initial issue. Not sure where to start. Ignition switch? Ideas?

I’m currently chasing a ground issue which kills my jeep when exposed to water. May not be the cause of your issue but while trying to hunt down your problem wouldn’t hurt the check the grounds. I took one look at my engine mount and immediately ordered all new cables.
