I stripped the torx bolt on the tailgate trying to take it off, I then used a screw extractor but it snapped. Idk what to do now

Drill the torx head off, just deep enough for the head to come off. Remove the hinge then you should be able to get the remaining bolt out that is sticking up a bit out of the tub with a pair of vise grips.

If you have a Dremel with a cutoff wheel you can cut a slot and use a large screwdriver to remove the screw. If it doesn't work it doesn't prevent trying any of the other suggestions above.

You’ll probably need a diamond tipped bit to drill into the hardened steel of the extractor if it’s broken off flush enough that you can’t pull it out . Then do as said above and just drill the head off the bolt . Slip the hinge off and remove the remainder of the bolt with vice grips .

My take is that the bolt head has broken off, leaving only the threaded portion of the bolt.
If it's flush, you'll need to drill it out, if it is sticking out, you may be able to get a grip on it or you may be able to weld a nut to it.

If you still have others to remove and you re afraid that they are also going to break, here's a trick to get some penetrating fluid to the threads.

On the head of the bolt, drill a really small hole at the 12:00 position, through just the head of the bolt.
Now you can insert the tip of your favorite penetrating fluid into that hole and give it a squirt. The fluid can now get to the threads.
Worked great on the windshield frame bolts of our '03.

Depends on if you want to keep your hinge. I did the exact same thing.

Easiest way to remove the other bolts will be to drill them out. I think it’s a 5/16 drill bit. If you use the right size the head will pop off. Once they are all drilled you just pull off the hinge and it’s easy to use a Vice grip to unscrew the bolts.

The only way I could get the one bolt off with the extractor bit broken in it. I had to drill around the bolt through the hinge until it finally came off. It sucks and it takes a long time.

Another method but it will ruin your paint on the hinge. Use some heat before trying to unscrew

yea thats the problem with screw extractors, the only ones i will use is snap-on brand and then you have to know when to stop and just drill the head off. try taking a awl and hammer and try to get it to back out by catching a edge and taping it in reverse or possibly shatter it by knocking the shit out of it with the awl and hammer. trying to drill it is pretty much useless, the drill bit will walk away from the center and give you a nice figure 8 hole. we use to have a 80k rpm pencil grinder with a carbide rotary file to remove them but boy was it a pain in the ass, that carbide file would get red hot and you would burn a few up on a broke extractor or apex bit !

An abrasive cone shaped stone bit on a deemed has worked quite well for me

Solid carbide bit, go slow and oil the bit regularly. Ate through the broken extractor easily.
