Subwoofer in non factory sub center console?

Is it possible to put a subwoofer into a center console that came without a sub? I plan on going with the upgrades from the "Upgrading your jeep wrangler tj sound system" and I would like to put in the kicker comp sub and amp, but did not have a sub before. Does anyone know how I can go about this since I don't want to buy another center console?

It's doable with a little fabrication. Your best bet for the amount of air space available would be to go with an 8" slimline sub.
