Suggestions For Side Marker Lights

Replaced stock fender flares with flat steel replacements. New front flares have no accommodations for port and starboard running lights. Any ideas are welcome
 
You might consider some basic lights like these:

They will wire in to the existing wiring, though you’ll need to add a ground (easy). I believe they can be mounted in a round hole on any convenient sheet metal. If there’s no metal in the right orientation, you could easily make a bracket out a very short length of aluminum or steel angle.

Will they function as is or do I need a different regulator?

You will need an LED flasher relay like this:

That will allow you to install the bulb without hyper flash. It also allows you to convert the remaining lights to LED as well, so you can replace the front and rear lights with LED without any issues. It will work with LED, incandescent, or a mixture of bulbs.

I have some of those in the garage if amazon on Metalcloak are out. Three wire dual function.
 
If you don't want any issues use only standard incandescent bulbs in the side markers and turn signals. LED bulbs are not only light bulbs, they are diodes too which means they only conduct in one direction. That causes problems in that circuit because the current flow needs to reverse direction through those bulbs when the headlights are turned on & off.
