I cracked my fan shroud while doing a body lift, bad enough that it needs to be replaced.
At 115k miles, the radiator is looking a little tired also, and if I do that, I'll do the hoses. Then i might as well throw in a water pump and thermostat (but not a heater core yet).
Here's my dilemma-for about the same cost, I can throw in a new aluminum radiator with electric fans.
Other than the power draw, which is only a concern in low speed traffic, I can't see a downside to going to an electric fan.
Anybody have a downside to the swap?
