Hi, im new here, and just got my hands on a 97 2.5
ive been researching a lot before i try and do some mods, and i find a lot of comments with the ''running at 210 is normal'' thing...
BUT, i live in a place you can compare to las vegas, on the hottest days we can get up to 113ºf, and its always hot 3/4 of the year, we rarely get bellow 44, and even when we do, its just not more than 4 weeks a year...
NOW, watter boiling temp decreases as you gain altitude, and where i live it easily is just below the 210º mark, and i find myself lots of time on the 210, i hav had to refill lots of time the coolant, and i find it lots of times bubbling...
i get the ''service the coolant system'', i will, i might have to change the rad which looks like it was repaired, it might not be working at full capacity, but then again, at afternoon when the sun starts coming down temp does too, and it stay at good 195-200 (one line before the 210)...
i actually am planning on doing some performance mods like 12 hole injectors and performance ignition system, and probs in a few years the boostedtech supercharger (once everything else ir in perfect state)
so, should i keep the mechanical fan? is there a fan blades replacement that actually works better than OEM? should i actually go for the e.fan? i was actually planning on getting to a aluminum rad but ive seen lots of ppl saying it is not that good, the leak very easily and in the end the OEM one performs better as long as all the cooling system is on a good state.
Thanks for your time and i appreciate any comments!
