Tasteful LJR Build

Next on the list before the next wheeling trip:

Install Savvy Corner Guards
Install Savvy Rocker Guards
Install Savvy Engine Skid
Install Bedrug
Have the front clip paint repaired

I'll probably leave it at that stage for a while. My end goal is 35's and do everything at once. When I say everything... Mid-arms, outboard shocks, Currie front 44, big brake kit, locking hubs. Pretty much need to save $25k lol.

:devilish:

Wow! That is a lot. How long did it take to get the Swayloc, and any install tips you'd like to share with me?

I mainly followed the supplied directions. I made sure to apply lube to all the required parts and everything just came together. I literally installed the bushings into the frame by hand. Maybe I got lucky?

From the King of the Untasteful Rigs....that's very tasteful. Nice work. And I like the color match.

Thanks all!

I'm going to add a 1" spacer to level it out a little bit. Also, I'm going to build some aluminum bumpstops..

I'll also need a new rear driveshaft. I've messed with the uppers enough and I still can't get the vibes to go away. Tom Woods here I come.

Those minor mods will have hold me over for awhile. Baby #2 is due in November and cash is going to disappear. Daycare ain't cheap! My goal is to save up for "Phase 2" and do everything at once.. mid arms, 4" lift, outboard shocks, 5.13s, 35s, yada yada..

Making some bump stops..

2” OD aluminum discs from McMaster Carr

Some old (but new) body mounts for a CJ5 I think? Not sure what they are made out of, but they are hard!

I wanted to be able to adjust the height so I have 1” and 1/2” aluminum discs and the body mounts are 3/4”.

I also have 2” BDS springs on the way. I’d like a little more clearance with the JK wheel and tire package along with the up travel!

Added some 2” BDS springs, made some rear bump stops and installed a Tom woods driveshaft.

Now I’m chasing vibes and slighting pulling to the drive side when my hands are off the wheel😑

Still waiting on my Tuffy Center Console, Savvy GTS, Mastercraft Seats, and Tom Woods Driveshaft.

I need to check bump and alignment of front axle and make sure everything is square.

After this trip, I'm going to regear to 4.56s. I'd like to use Revolution Gears, but it appears they are out of stock for awhile. Not sure which other brand I'll go with..

I'm also planning on adding RockJock Steering with a BMB tie rod and potentially BBK depending on budget.
