temp gauge

I have a 97 tj w/ a 2.5. The temp gauge fluctuates like crazy, so far I have replaced the radiator, temp sensor ,new plug, two different thermostats, No change, so I just unplugged the sensor last night and drove it to work, and even unplugged it still fluctuates, any ideas, thanks

What does it do when traveling at speed? Lower temps? Crawling along? Creeps up? Need a little more detail...

Even though you've replaced two of them, sounds like faulty thermostats.

it bounces back in forth no matter what. even when you first crank up. The temp sensor is unplugged and still does it. After driving it to town I put a laser on the motor and it's with in operating temp
