Just a quick thank you to everyone who contributes to this site. Last weekend my Jeep stopped running and wouldn't crank. We bump started it and I drove it home. We originally thought it was the clutch switch because I pumped it a couple times, and it started back up. Then when it wouldn't start the next time, we bypassed the switch and it still wouldn't start, so that why we just bump started it and went home. I searched this site and the reasonable conclusion was the ignition actuator assembly, so I ordered one. Took it apart yesterday and it was fine. Now what do I do? I downloaded the service manual and just started following the process. Low and behold, using the manual, I found the unlikely, yet actual issue. One of the connections to the starter relay was supposed to be tied to ground. It was, but it was no longer in its place, in the fuse box. Took the box apart, and the wire just needed to be put back where it belongs so it would make contact with the relay. Problem solved, and I felt very proud for being able to troubleshoot this myself, and not have to pay who knows how much. All this thanks to the wonderful resources here provided by many of you.
