What do you prefer? And why is leather so bad?
Leather? Its slippery. Its cold, its hot, it doesn't wear particularly well. A good quality vinyl at least wears better, but I prefer cloth.

Cold in the winter , excessive ball sweat in the summer . Plus leather doesn't wear well at all , look at any 10 year old car that's used daily , without a doubt the drivers seat is cracked , dryed out , and looks like crap . The other little used seat positions are fine. It's high price vinyl in my book . Good quality cloth seats for the win in my book .

I can see where you're coming from, I just hate cleaning cloth seats if anything spills or they get mud/water on them. I'm working towards getting a vinyl floor and leather seats for my truck, but could you recommend a good pair of cloth seats?
You can get decent cloth seat covers , or the OEM seats . Plus Scotchguard works well at keeping them from getting trashed . My dunebuggy survived for years outside and top less.

Can't argue with the temp thing, though most vehicles with leather in the last 20 years likely have air con and seat heaters. Some of the latest ones probably have seat cooling as well.
The hell it does, but you do have to care for the leather a bit. Not difficult. Same goes for a leather chair in your house. Vinyl is shit. The term "PU Leather" should be outlawed.
I think this has as much if not more to do with seat design. As does material wear. A properly designed seat using leather (or any material, for that matter) should keep you where you need to be.
Generally speaking, yes. Especially in the LJ.
FYI, the leather seats in the MINI I referred to previously are replacements for the original cloth seats that wore through.
I'd agree with the steering wheel, can't say I have any experience with it on a seat. There's a reason why it's used on racing wheels.![]()
This is what I wanted to say, just didn't feel like typing it out on my PHOOOOOONNE![]()
I still prefer quality cloth

Ever own a vehicle with "MB-Tex"? Outlasts leather 5-1 easy.
Yea, you can compensate for bullshit with more bullshit technology.
Just like high beltlines and piss poor rearward visibility is now compensated for with backup cameras.
smartphone-think.
Obviously, we're not going to agree - and that's OK.I think everything that isn't Zorba-think is smartphone-think in your world.![]()
Obviously, we're not going to agree - and that's OK.
As for smartphones - having just returned from a country that they haven't completely wrecked as YET, my hatred for them has done nothing but gotten greater.

YET , is the key word Zorba . The smartphone is used everywhere and will only expand it's use.
But apparently the water is shitty there and you both got sick. Worth it?
