Order is machined and picked up, just need to get the anodizing houses to stop trying to rape me on the price. As soon as I get an even remotely tolerable price, off they go.

i've got a guy that anodizes golf clubs down in san marcos.. i reached out to him to gauge his rapey-ness
That will work actually. The item is 2.5" in diameter, 4.25" tall, process is UV Black Type III hard anodize. 210 pieces. I can deliver to San Marcos at the drop of a hat, COD only. You may explain that volumetrically it is right at 1/3 the volume of a cylinder in those dimensions due to the material removed to create the eye.
Looks pretty nice. Noob question, but what are the improvements over the TRE thimble? Knowing you there must be some.
Don't forget better anodizing too.
10-4 he's calling me tonight and i'll pass the info along to see what he comes up with.
I appreciate your efforts. The company that I've done way too much business with finally understood basic simple pricing logic and has come in with a very acceptable non rapey price. The price is good enough that I would not punish another company by trying to have them meet it. In fact, it was too low and I raised it to be fair.
dang alright, i've got a guy i just got off the phone with that's gonna expect a call. sending you a PM now.. reach out just in case you ever need him or i can just tell him to fuck off.
We work with a couple different anodizers on the other coast and there appears to be no recognizable pattern to pricing. 45 pieces of custom curved 6063 trim at one was $18,000. The other shop cost us $850 for a similar batch. Those numbers have the correct number of zeros.
Was there a decision made on weather these STs would be available attached to 85 feet of rope?
Yes, I'm moments away from ordering rope.
