That seems kinda of high to me for an aftermarket one.

I’ve seen some OEM ones in better looking shape go for around that price. I know it’s hard to find one relatively close to where you live though.

Prices fluctuate depending on region. I’ve had a nice hard top up for sale for well over a month now for $750. Plenty of inquiries....but all low balls for $500. I’m in the NE region.

What do you guys think? I've been wanting a hardtop for a while especially black, and here it is,it is the only affordable one thats close to me. What do you guys think, its not OEM and he claims its besttop. Does this one have any known problems and such? Thanks

Bestop is the OEM for Jeep tops but that doesn't look like a Bestop to me, not with those twist-locks on the rear window. I personally wouldn't be excited over that particular one.

Where is Pacifica? Googling Pacifica just came up with a bunch of rest homes.

Pacifica is a little further than san francisco if you head more west. From Pacifica to reno would be about 8 hours round trip

My biggest concern is his misleading description of it, it's certainly not the OEM Bestop hard top. Looks aftermarket to me. I'd expand my search radius in hopes of finding a few more to choose from. Personally, I sold my hard top after confirming what a PITA it was to remove and replace several times a year. One of those times it gave me a huge black eye (it swung around on the rope hoist & popped my eye) I had to wear on my first day on a new job in a company made up of over 95% women. Fortunately I was able to give a humorous story on how it happened to the entire company when I gave an introductory talk to them that first day or they would have thought they had hired the wrong guy lol. At least I got them laughing about it to break the ice. :)

I doubt he is misleading, probably just guessing or going off someone elses' guess. It looks old lol but there is really nothing to go wrong. If you are buying it take yer Jeep and fit it before you pay for it. If everything lines up and snugs down tight..... make an offer.... $800 is no bargain.

It is missing the rear wiper washer and heated glass. It needs paint. It is probably not going to fit like the factory top. I'd offer a few hundred, not $800. He'll likely cave in once he sees you removing it to go home without it. AND there is always a better deal tomorrow.

No . Nope. Un-unh.

Get a good factory top, even if you have to pay a little more .

Biggest thing when shopping for hard tops is understanding the ventilation setup. I don't see vents on that top. So, you'll need vents in your tailgate. Otherwise, slam your door, blow out the rear window. ;)

Maybe the seller meant Bulldawg. Their tops had t-handles on the rear window.
