Yeah sorry I worded that wrong, I'll fix itNo they aren't. They may be the best ones FOR YOU. I pulled em off after 200 miles cuz I hated em.

You're not going to get meaningful ride quality differences with control arms (barring some exceptional cases). Focus on your shocks if you are wanting a better/more comfortable ride.Id like some opinions on if I should stick with a set of short arms or a long arm upgrade? Ive read/heard the long arms are more comfortable on the street, but Ive read a bunch of threads about short arm vs long arm and I don't want this to turn into that conversation again.
He did answer your question. You just didn't understand the answer. Its not a mentality, its fact. UNLESS you put in the right parts and time researching (which is what i'm doing) Sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I hate people telling me to change the way I think. I wouldn't be here asking questions from people who have done this if I wasn't willing to learn. I appreciate you taking time to read the thread, but your response doesn't answer my question.
X2 If your control arms are not jacked just buy new shocks and you’ll notice the difference. You're not going to get meaningful ride quality differences with control arms (barring some exceptional cases). Focus on your shocks if you are wanting a better/more comfortable ride.
The reason I need new arms is to have adjustability. I need to correct pinion angles and get rid of my transfer case drop.X2 If your control arms are not jacked just buy new shocks and you’ll notice the difference.
He’s telling you to lose that mentality because it isn’t fact, it’s a product of a poor build. His recommendation was a tunable shock, which will help you realize why that isn’t a fact.
My point was STOCK setups ride like a wagon. Fact.He did answer your question. You just didn't understand the answer.

NO, you're wrong, I totally agree, answer my QuEsTiOnI have some questions, can anyone answer them? I already know the answers because I have researched what I need to do. So if your answers don't agree with mine, then I am going to call you out, because I know all the answers before I asked the questions!!!!
Don't disagree with me, when I ask for help, because you will be the one who is wrong.
Everybody in agreement????
We’re talking stock Jeeps now? Make up your mind. Your Jeep wasn’t even stock when you bought it so why are you talking about a stock Jeep now. You asked how to get yours to ride better, several people told you, and you don’t seem to like the responses. So figure it out for yourself. My point was STOCK setups ride like a wagon. Fact.
Savvy double adjustable short armsId like some opinions on if I should stick with a set of short arms or a long arm upgrade?
shocks - Skyjacker BlackMax have gotten some favorable mention as a budget shock but much of it just comes down to preference. Also, what other suspension components go into a smoother ride?
Poorly set up "Jeeps" or "Jeeps" in disrepair may ride like a wagon. Properly set up lifted TJs ride better than stock.I know its a jeep and is going to ride like a wagon, but what helps?
ORO SwayLOC for sureAntirocks for sure but what else?
Having an open mind will go along way towards educating yourself here and putting together a great TJ.Sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I hate people telling me to change the way I think.
Maybe you need to re-calibrate your butt-ometter.My point was STOCK setups ride like a wagon. Fact.

By all accounts my TJ should ride like crap because it is a 4 popper soft top running heavy weight 6 cyl springs all the way around but it does not. So unless you are running a short arm at five or more inches of lift or some comically unbalanced front to rear spring rate split (IE too soft a rear spring) you are left with shocks and tires being the two major factors in how a TJ rides. Its not a mentality, its fact. UNLESS you put in the right parts and time researching (which is what i'm doing) Sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I hate people telling me to change the way I think. So in the case where your thinking is incorrect, you don’t want someone to point it out?… Sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I hate people telling me to change the way I think. …
See post #29 for the correct answer!!!!!So in the case where your thinking is incorrect, you don’t want someone to point it out?
I have MC rocksport shocks and the ride is awesome.By all accounts my TJ should ride like crap because it is a 4 popper soft top running heavy weight 6 cyl springs all the way around but it does not. My preferred shock was the original OME LTs but since you cannot buy those I would take a look at the Metalcloak (insert gasp here) Rocksports. They have the similar dimensions as the OME LT and rumor has it that they are similarly valved to the them as well.
