I'll tint my windshield and all my windows once I get tired of the cracks on my windshield,I'm 3 windshields in for the last 2 years ceramic tint is quite the cool stuff from what I've personally seen/experienced! dark from the outside and you can still see just fine from the inside And! The cooler temp factor when it's blazing hot outside is cool too since it "blocks" the waves of the sun or whatever
.......long story short it's pretty cool stuff,cooler Temps from what I've felt and you get the benefit of dark windows and barely sacrificing any light going in the cabin which Is a big one for me and others !
Just need to find the brand of the stuff talking about !

Lol! We live about 3/4 mile off the road. Posted no trespassing signs on the property with monitors and motion activated lights. It would take a very determined person to come all the way up. But, anything is possible. Then, there's that 357 magnum!
Finally got it done. Our one local guy finally did his magic on the shortbus windows. Went with 20% on the driver/passenger windows and 35% down the whole windshield. Left the hard top alone.
To say I am happy with the results is an understatement. All my trucks have had this same combo on them but with the flat windshield, I was slightly concerned it would be darker than the trucks. It turned out perfect. Have zero visibility issues at night, even with the stock halogen lights.
I get it may not be everyone's taste and that a lot of states will ticket strictly for tint. Here in West TN, tint tickets typically come after some other infraction so no worries there.

It is amazing how many people, myself included, run around with tinted windshields and nobody cares.
Personally, I don't like them, but they have become rather common. I had a chance to ask a kid (18-19 year old) with a dark tinted windshield how he was getting away with it, and his answer was that he wasn't. At that point, he had already had 3 tickets for it, and he chose to just keep paying the tickets at $300 each because he "liked the look". I told him that will change if he ever moves out of the basement. That was 2-3 years ago and his JK is still parked at mommy's house with a tinted windshield, so make of that what you will.
Depends on the state. My eye doc said if I ever get a ticket she'd write me a prescription for it. I only have 50% tint on all my vehicles windshield.
I think it is a state by state thing. TN state troopers used to be notorious for pulling people over for tint ONLY. I still have my own theory that something changed during covid when they weren't really pulling that many people over (at least in my area) unless really needed. Now tinted windshields are everywhere. Mine is only 35%. I see them all over that have to be 20% or less. 35% still allows me clear vision while keeping the tinted windshield look that I want.
50% windshields here also and you still won't find me without sunglasses even on a cloudy day.
Same, I'm always wearing sunglasses. The only downside of LASIK.
Expound. Is it because your eyes become more sensitive to light, or is it a requirement for some other reason?
I've heard of some side effects from lasik, like seeing "streamers" or something like that. Are your eye now light sensitive?
My eyes have always been sensitive to light; they are light blue. LASIK made it a little worse. I've never had streamers. It's been 15 years since I had it done and I still have 20/15 vision. I'd spend the money again in a heartbeat to have it done.
One more problem I see with dark tint and windshield tint is when folks are coming out from a side road, I cannot see if they intend to stop or just pull out in front of you or into you. I’ll gladly slow or even stop to prevent a collision but when they come flying up to the road and it’s impossible to see their intentions……oh well.
This drives me crazy , it's important to see others intents to avoid a crash.
