So I bought this tj awhile back and had very few issues but I ended up swapping the starter not long ago and it works amazing…but lastnight I couldn’t start it…pretty cold where I am so I figured push it in the garage and figure it out in there…turned out I had a broken sumthing in the ignition cylinder and I can get it to turn over with a screwdriver…plan on replacing that part soon…so I ended up having to boost it in the end and all it does now is turn over no fuel I think no spark…idk tried with a fucked up can of ether but no luck…so now it seems to be the cps maybe idk…and the gauges don’t work…I can get it to turn over strong but I’m stuck ….I need help

You need to fix your key issue first. You probably snapped your actuator pin turning it over with a screwdriver. You also don't need three periods in between each sentence. One does the trick.

When you switch the ignition to the "run" position (with the screwdriver) you should hear the fuel pump prime. It will buzz for a couple seconds. If you don't hear that, test that you have power at the fuel pump. The fact that you don't have fuel or spark AND your ignition cylinder is broken leads me to think that is the issue and you aren't actually getting it to the "run" position.

Ok I will try tonight….strange cause I figured it being able to turn over would allow it to be in run…I do not hear anything..thanks eh

I’m thinking maybe that skinny plastic peice in the actuator might activate the fuel and firing…idk

Hmm., sounds familiar. Like, maybe the actuator pin is integral to the functionality of the ASD relay, which is integral to fuel and ignition? Don't say "Like I know that the ignition isn’t what’s causing it to not get fuel and spark" if you don't, like, know. There's a lot of good info on this forum. Immediately discounting what experienced people take the time to type out in hopes of helping you, is a sure fire way to get ignored in the future. It's also a shit way to operate if you truly want to learn.

I ended up putting in the new actuator pin and got it to turn over strong.with the key that is. Few days ago the battery read 11.6 and needed a boost to turn over now it reads 10.3 and turns over…both times with no fuel pressure and spark..I’m buying a new battery and now I’m under the assumption that the battery is fucking with this whole no fuel pump power and no spark..and I’m onto checking grounds if this don’t work…I’ve looked on the forumns and don’t find anything like it..strange situation..thanks itchydong lol

Any information helps at this point..thanks alot
Get a good battery in there and let us know. The ASD relay is responsible for fuel and spark. Grab a relay too while you’re at it. They’re cheap and if it doesn’t fix it it can help narrow down the issue.

Will do thanks partner. I miss driving this beauty already
Also test your ASD fuse with a test light. If it's the square cartridge type fuse, they can be difficult to see if they're blown just by looking at them. Pop the top and hit it with a test light to battery ground.

So everybody I solved my issue…I got the new battery and as I was going over the fuses and relays for a 5th time I noticed that there was a second ASD relay I forgot about…the first night when I checked that relay I put it back in the wrong home…so it wouldn’t start ..in the end I learned a lot about this tj than b4 ..thanks itchydong lol..new battery is nice to have in the end also

Pretty sure there’s only one ASD relay. Was it your fuel pump relay?
