Just picked up a 97 Sport. Does anyone have a measurement from ground to fender on a stock height Sport? Not sure if this has a lift or not, but it looks a bit higher than stock. PO was not sure if it had a mild lift or not.

The photo attached is the only one I have at the moment, not the greatest.

Measure the coil springs without the rubber isolator (the isolator is about 1/2 -5/8" thick on top of the coil). 12" in front and 8" in rear is stock height. There could also be a spacer lift which would be between the top of the coil and the mount.

I have the same question on my 99 TJ. Just to clarify for myself, you're saying the difference in the measurements of the springs in place, minus any rubber isolators or spacers, is the size of the lift kit?

Correct. Measure on flat ground and unloaded. If you do have a spacer, add that into the lift. Just don't add in the rubber isolator.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but seemed like the same question. I measured my TJ trying to find out if my springs and shocks are worn out and sagging. I measured my front from the ground to the bottom of the fender at 34” and 36” in the rear. Can anyone confirm this?
