I saw a YouTube video on how to bring a Milwaukee battery back from the dead. It was on the internet, so it must be true. I was a simple process, and would only take investing in a few minutes of your time to find out.
I had a Milwaukee battery get out of "balance" - 3 series-parallel cells, two of them were lower voltage than the 3rd. Opening the thing up and charging the low cells separately fixed the (series) imbalance.
I was taught to avoid parallel cell/battery hookups, or to isolate them with diodes. I don't know how pertinent that advice is with Li-Ion. I know with lead-acid and normal alkaline cells/batteries, parallel connections *can* end up charging/discharging each other.
