I saw a YouTube video on how to bring a Milwaukee battery back from the dead. It was on the internet, so it must be true . I was a simple process, and would only take investing in a few minutes of your time to find out.

I had a Milwaukee battery get out of "balance" - 3 series-parallel cells, two of them were lower voltage than the 3rd. Opening the thing up and charging the low cells separately fixed the (series) imbalance.

I was taught to avoid parallel cell/battery hookups, or to isolate them with diodes. I don't know how pertinent that advice is with Li-Ion. I know with lead-acid and normal alkaline cells/batteries, parallel connections *can* end up charging/discharging each other.

For anyone that tries this, you need a LiPo charger that is cell aware. Mine was pretty cheap off scamazon.

Ditto that - I got such a charger from Warrior Woman as well. Added some wire leads to it and am able to jumper it onto which ever cell pair I need to. Cost something stupid like $6 or $7.

We've had many over the years that wouldn't take a charge. I've got some heavy duty jumpers I use to hook them up to a fully charged similar battery to give them a jumpstart. It works about 90% of the time.

I don't know what CX is. All I have ever used is the e-service on the Milwaukee website. It costs nothing to use it except a box and packaging, they send the shipping label over so you can print, stick, and go. I have mail pick up here so it costs me very little to get it done since I throw away about 50 boxes a week.

75% of my batteries came from Offer-up and my neighbor.

Looks like I owe you a cold one, I submitted an e-ticket with no receipt and I didn't mention Amazon. They sent me a prepaid label and I sent it in. They shipped me a brand new one which I received today, did not cost me a dime. Another 4 or 5 months and it would have been too late. Thanks, I will name it after you.
