Yep. I actually didn't know there was a "non-stubby" version.

I have no idea if there is but will say my m12 gen2 stubby in 1/2” is my most used tool in the garage.

That is very odd to me. I use the crap out of my 3/8" version but I don't use chrome sockets on impacts unless there is no other way to do something. That means the 1/2" impact sockets are thicker than they need to be for general work. Plus I don't see any value in using a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter to run impact Torx, Allen, and Phillips sockets.

I also have a gen 1 3/8, for some of the Torx or Allen, but all of my impact sockets are 1/2.

This is primarily disassembly, I usually reassemble with a ratchet.

For me it just works, for the most part no matter what vehicle of mine, if I want to take something apart I grab this case and the Gen 2 M12.

If I want to assemble something I grab this one. Special fasteners and such get dealt with as needed.

If I need to hold a fastener then I'll also grab this case

Sigh...

Still waiting for a killer deal on an M12 1/2" impact. Hope to find one on Labor day...

I looked up what I paid, $169 Memorial day of 2025 from Acme tools. Tool only.
