Torx socket broke in screw head!

Indecently, Once I get the torx bit out, I plan to heat the bolt with a heat gun, then use an impact wrench (starting at low toque!) and a new torx bit to get the bolt out. Hopefully it will not damage the surrounding paint or anything in the footwell. There's a lot of rubber and plastic on that side.
I don't think a heat gun will do it and it will surely spread enough heat to damage the paint. I believe I have read here (maybe from @Jerry Bransford) to heat a torx socket-bit while it is in the bolt to contain the heat to just the bolt.
That works really well I forgot to suggest that too.
They are out there- what you usually have to do on a painted torx is tap the bit in- it will be really tight, which is a good thing.
That one appears way too small.
Yes,it’s so hard it’s Brittle,a punch should break it up.a steel punch not one with a handle
I put a 10 mm boxed end wrench over it to keep the heat down and used a torch inside the box end ,I got all out and no paint damage.
I had very good success using an impact driver on thes types of bolts. The trick is something manual vs a power tool.

I had a set I tried to get my seats out with
Did the samething. Used a pick tool to get it out
Threw the extra HF torx sockets out immediately
Hell I even broke a Kobalt one from Lowes
However it was a shatter, not a twist off like HF

I've just got to say it ! the best way to prevent this from happening in the 1st place is to get @AndyG to perform a "duckorcism" on your jeep ! It's also been known to prevent flipping over, flat tires, pcm failures, air filter clogging up, frame rust, u-joint failure, axle breaking and many other known problems !you will also notice that bugs wont hit your windshield any more

If the satanic infidels would not be putting ducks in them, there would be no need for that ritual.
It was not 10 minutes ago I saw a JK owner proudly displaying his windshield full of rubber ducks going down the road.
What on earth is people think this accomplishes? Do they think it looks good on a resume? As I’m typing this I just met another one with a duck on his dash.

lay a nut over it weld it on it will remove the torx bolt that factory locktite is a biotch heat heat heat
To everyone that offered suggestions and comments, a Laurel and Hearty handshake! (for those of you whot are a fan of Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles and are old enough to remember Laurel and Hardy comedy duo).
Wanted to give everyone an update. After trying to drill, heat, center, nothing worked. I ended up, as was suggested by some, taking the jeep to a shop to weld a bolt and yank it out with locking piler. Bingo! it's done.
