Track bar causes mess on upholstery

Long story sorta shorter - installed the OME 2.5 lift. Spot on straight forward no issues. Installed front adj track bar centering axle no issues. Handled and road/rides like a dream. Coming home yesterday I hit a pothole @ ~65mph and the resulting DW made me crap in my pants. It felt like the front end was going to come off. I had to completely stop on the apron to stop the shaking, both me and the rig. (Note to newbs...if you can speed up or slow down to stop the problem, YOU DO NOT HAVE DW)

Checked everything out by dry steer and found the lock nut on the TB was loose. Any thoughts on welding the nut in place?

I wouldn’t want to weld it, just in case you need to adjust it later

Make sure the bolt holes aren’t egg-shaped. If okay torque to specs. Shouldn’t come loose.

That lock nut being loose shouldn't be enough to cause death wobble.

I wouldn't weld that either, that's senseless.

Did you check the torque on the frame side and axle side track bar mounting bolts?

Properly torqued it should not come loose unless the bolt is stretching/stretched due to over torquing.

I have not but will now. There was a bit of play in the screw joint with everything else seeming to be snug

The bolt wasn't correctly torqued.

Properly torqued

Thinking back I cannot say I torqued it down as I don't remember looking up the spec.
