Transfer case cable shifter suggestions?

There is a stick that can be purchased off Ebay. It will require modification to work, I had to cut the short end and drill a new hole for the retaining clip but it works.

I just checked and it doesn't look like the seller has any listed for sale right now. His Ebay name is Rodslama.
Picture?

I looked around a bunch and there are a few others available (ie steinjager, RC) but the reviews all pointed out fitment issues. Savvy was the only one that had rave reviews. Sorry forum gods, I don't take your word blindly and am a cheap bastard so I am always looking for a more cost effective method to get the same results. For the small price difference there was no question Savvy was the way to go.

Sure you
Everyone who has never developed, manufactured and marketed anything thinks so.
Sure you're correct. I did work 4 years in a speed shop, we did some innovations in house and outsourced others. Once we could start sourcing pieces from here or there and just pre-assembling, things got pretty cheap to produce within about a year or so though.

I just don't get why they're so expensive, looks like $20 of materials and maybe another $20 in labor, hipshot guess but dang this seems high $$$
Hell that's just a piece of 3/8"? Rod with a flat and threaded on one end, I could make that thing with a torch and hammer for $5. 🤣

Cable shifters take the vagueness out of the system, and it is good to know you are positively engaged ...or not. They are a nice , true upgrade.

I can shift my '03 with 2 fingers. If I started over, it would be one of my first purchases.

While we're on this subject, what about replacing the shifter lever with a "real" stick? What's the drill?
Hey I just did that to mine. Going install very shortly. Combining the new shifter with a custom front and middle console and ammo can storage. Just took it in for painting.

My skid came with a Novak transfer cable shifter, was night and day difference. And I have the straight lever with a ball knob.
