Transfer case cable shifter

For a multitude of reasons, I am changing my stock transfer case shifter to a cable shifter. While there seems to be three major players in the replacement game (Novak, Savvy and Advance Adapters) I am willing to pass on the Advance Adapters (based on cost and look) unless there is some compelling reason to go with them. Though I do like the idea of kicking one of the brackets to the curb.

That brings me to the other two, Novak and Savvy. While the marketing information is much greater on the Novak I am not sure about mounting it with only screws, not bolts. I do like the idea of rubber gaskets to keep water out during water crossings. I suppose I could put nylocks on to help me sleep better.

Just looking for any pros or cons before I pull the trigger.

Well, the Savvy transfer case shifter was designed by a very experienced member here, and is considered to be the best of the bunch on this board. There were specific issues with some of the other shifters that were addressed and corrected in the Savvy design. Subtle, but important stuff.

I’ll be installing my Savvy next weekend. I’ll report on the install in my build thread. Hoping it goes smoothly. I’m sure the results will be great. Right now it’s so out of whack I can’t go into 4L

I installed a Savvy cable on the advice given here and can not be happier with it.

I also went with the mrblaine improved Savvy cable from 4LowParts.
 
I love the Savvy shifter. Installed one in mine replacing the OEM linkage and it's a day and night difference. IMO this is how Jeep should have shipped it from the factory!
