I'm poking around for some gearing options to get a better crawl ratio for my mild TJ. I just prefer to wheel slow and methodical over obstacles, and the stock sahara t-case gearing just doesn't have the gearing I like. my last offroad rig had a doubler with a crawl ratio of 131:1, if I could get somewhere near say 60-80:1 in the TJ i'd be pretty happy. Catch is that I'm only running a 31" tire with plans to eventually go to a 33. So gearing the axle down wouldn't hurt, but can't go too extreme there as its my DD.

So beyond the np241or from a rubi, or an atlas, are there any options I've not found yet? Looks like the 4:1 kits are NLA, the 241 in my area sells for north of $2k, so realistically I'd probably just go with an atlas. Any crawl boxes or other t-case options I should be aware of?

What transmission do you have?

And gear it down, you'll like it better as a daily.

yeah, I'll be going with some 4.56's once I unload a few other vehicles... Its on the list of to-do's.

for the trans, its an ax-15.

If you are going to 33s, then you want 4.88.
