Transfer case NP231 linkage

I know many of you Gods of Infinite wisdom have some good ideas about this one. My factory linkage is about junk, like most of you know happens. Plastic bushings are gone; rattles, don’t know how it still works! I was just wondering which method you guys highly recommend, since I only want to upgrade it once... Seems like the best reviews are for the cable linkage swap...more expensive but highly reguarded! All and any recommendations welcome. Thanks

Throw in a Savvy transfer case cable shifter. That's what most of us have, and it will fix every issue you have. You'll wonder why it didn't come with one of these from the factory. Worth every penny if you ask me!

Pretty quick. A couple hours at the most. You will need 2 people to secure the bracket to the tub though, at least I did.

Not necessarily

I did it by using a super long breaker bar and wedging it in place, that way when I tightened from below, the long breaker bar was fighting against it by using the floor pan as it's stopping point. Worked awesome and I got those suckers on there good.

Would it have been easier with two people? Of course!

Savvy has the most proven solution, the cheaper ones have their share of issues.

Yep, about an hour and a half. It's not hard by any means.

The Savvy cable shifter took the Novak design and made several improvements to it, so the better choice would be the Savvy.
