Transmission pops out of 2nd and 4th gear after lift install

So after lifting Jeep 3 inches with JKS lift my wrangler pops out of 2 and 4 gear. Anyone know why. Before lift it was perfect.

One of two things caused that to happen, either a body lift or a transfer case drop was installed. Either of those increases the distance between the transmission and the rubber shift boot which reduces the amount of throw the shifter has so it can't quite fully shift into the gears. The taller the body lift and the deeper the tcase drop, the worse this problem is.

The fix is to move your console slightly to better center the shifter boot over the bottom of the shifter, or buy a more flexible, like made from leather, shift boot.

What he said above! You lifting everything upward and you change the angles and reach of many other items.

Transfer case was def dropped with the suspension lift being installed. Thanks for the easy answer and quick fix.

Short throw shifter fixed my issues after the body lift and transfer drop.

I installed a SSYE and DCDS to fix mine. No issues at all and no cutting required.

Yep that enables the t-case drop to be removed.

I actually just turned the boot around and the problem was solved. Thanks to all!
