Turn signals stopped working

I had to pull off the road recently. I turned on my hazards, which flashed twice, then stopped working. My left and right turn signal stopped working also as well as my back up lights. I've checked all the fuses and relays, replacing the relay on the multifunction switch with no success. I ordered a replacement multifunction switch from NAPA and installed it (yes I replaced the relay) and still no luck. Has anyone experienced this before? What should I check next? Also, still standard bulbs and not LED's. Thanks in advance for taking a moment to reply

I wish I could help you, I am in a similar position. I have replaced everything and checked everything I can think of, with no luck. I am at a point where I might fold and take it somehwere.

Best advice I can offer is to start cleaning ground connections, the rears are grounded thru the mounting hardware and usually just running the threads with a tap helps. Also check headlight grounds and other main grounds under the hood..

Sounds like you’re going through things logically. Are you saying the brake lights stay on with the headlights, or just the tail lamps do (which would be correct)?
And do the indicator lamps on the instrument cluster flash and click at all?
I know the flasher relay on some vehicles is under the dash, but it sounds like you already changed that.

so the spare tire brake light stays on when the headlights are on. Left turn indicator on the dash doesn't work, occasionally I can get the right signal to work if I toggle the right turn (on off on off) but it's not consistent. sometimes I can toggle it, sometimes I can't. I hate electrical issues. Thanks to all who replied, I'll start checking the grounds. Anyone have anything else (I HOPE!)?

Had a similar issue once. After messing with it for a few hours realized the hazard switch was still turned on. Hazards were not flashing so I didn't realize the switch was on. Once I turned the hazards off the turn signals worked fine again.

"I hate electrical issues." Indeed! Just imagine electrical issues in JLs after the warranty is over. You got screens, proximity devices, ESS, chains of interdependent batteries, turbo chargers, never ending sensors monitoring other sensors...all those just to start the thing

Known as rust, dust and loose connections caused by trail usage.

I re-tapped all the holes on both tail lights and used the next size larger bolts to put it all back together. I had read on here that the bolts that hold the tail lights are actually the grounds. Worked like a charm, everything is back to normal. Thanks to this forum.

Thanks for letting us know that is worked. it drives me crazy when someone posts a problem, gets several answers, but never posts what worked.
